NOVEMBER 2004
- This year, the 36th Annual Meeting of our Association was held at a
new venue - the Sheraton Colonial in Wakefield on September 17.
Some 600 members - many attending their first Annual Meeting - received a full report of all Association activities over the past year, and an update of ongoing activity at the local, state and national levels. Several Association officers addressed the membership and were available to answer individual questions after the meeting. Health insurance claims and the Social Security Windfall/Offset laws were of greatest personal grievance. "This was my first Annual Meeting," said Evelyn Melanson of Lynn who stayed late to discuss an insurance problem involving Medicare. "I enjoyed the meeting very much, especially the friendliness of the members, most of whom I did not know. The Association did everything to make us feel right at home." |
