McGoldrick Wins New Term On State Retirement Board PDF Print E-mail
JULY 2006 - Theresa McGoldrick has been elected to a full three-year term on the State Board of Retirement. McGoldrick had earlier been elected to complete the unexpired term of Bob Cawley who died on April 30, 2004.

McGoldrick’s 15,688 votes placed her well ahead of seven challengers.  Brian White, a DMH social worker, was second with 1,537 votes, and David McKenna, of the Middlesex County Sheriff’s office, third with 1,192 votes. Other candidates and their vote totals were: Martin Doto, Dept. Correction (695); John Robert Cline, Gov. Romney’s office (684); Frank Barros, DET (664); Jean Small, Treasury (571)and Nandasena Ramanayake, Lemuel Shattuck Hosp. nurse (451).

McGoldrick, a Watertown resident, is an attorney for the Dept. of Revenue’s Child Support Enforcement Division and a president of Unit 6 of the SEIU/NAGE union.

“Theresa has been a strong advocate for our members,” says fellow elected member Ralph White. “She really gets involved and has been a pleasure to work with.”

Chairman Tim Cahill, Peter Koutoujian and Christopher Condon are the Board’s other members. Nick Favorito is the director of the State Retirement Board.
