July 06 - Credit Union Boardroom Named in His Honor - Former State Retirement Board member Bob Cawley was posthumously honored by the State Employees Credit Union at the recent opening of the Credit Union’s new offices.
Although it’s been over two years since the former State Senator and ex-Marine lost his battle to cancer, the Credit Union, of which Cawley was vice president, waited until moving into their spacious new quarters at Boston’s One Center Plaza to hold a formal ceremony on his behalf. Members of the State Retirement Board were also present for the ceremony. “It was sort of a dual recognition by both the Credit Union and the State Board,” said Credit Union officer, Ralph White. A large contingent of Bob’s extended family, led by his wife Pat, were in attendance for the honors.
