Eligible members of the MWRA Retirement System must file a retirement application no later than March 15, 2002, with a retirement date no later than June 30, 2002.

The bonus is the same as the state's, any combination of years of creditable service and years of age, the sum of which shall not be greater than five years.

Brian Leahy, director of the MWRA Retirement Board estimates that there are approximately 180 employees eligible for the ERI program. Another 190 former MDC employees who work for the MWRA are eligible for the state's ERI. They are employees who retained their state system membership after being transferred to the MWRA.
