Hull Town Meeting To Vote On COLA PDF Print E-mail
MAY 1999 - Hull, one of the four remaining communities without a pension COLA provision, will vote on the Chapter 17 COLA law at the May 2nd Town Meeting.

Last year, Hull, which had expressed interest in neighboring Hingham's bill, waited for the outcome of that bill and thus took no action on Chapter 17.

Realizing that the Hingham Bill is a lost cause, the Hull Retirement Board of Maurice Murphy, Emily O'Brien, Leonard Colton, Phil Lemnois and Him Yacobucci will be seeking Chapter 17 acceptance at Town Meeting.

Hull has an open Town Meeting, meaning that any resident can vote. Retirees are urged to bring their family members and friends to Town Meeting so that the Chapter 17 COLA vote can be a winner.
